Region: Douro
Produced and bottled by: Quinta das Peixotas
Varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca
Alc Level: 15.5%
Serving temperature: 17ºC
Tasting notes: It has a complex aroma, with an emphasis on black fruit (black cherries, blackberries) and notes of toast (coffee). Perfect harmonization with seadoned dishes.
Vinification: This 'Grande Reserva' results from the vinification of traditional grape varieties, cultivated under an Integrated Protection system (certified). The fermentation of the grapes took place without stems in granite vats with foot treading and pumping over at controlled temperature. Prolonged maceration and pressing in wine presses provide rich, smooth tannins and a deeper color. It aged in stainless steel vats, followed by a period of 12 months in French and national oak barrels. It will reach its peak with a long stage in the bottle.
